The London Chess Classic has started at Olympia and while the media focus will be on the Super GMs in the top tournament, the biggest tournament in London by far has attracted a healthy entry from Battersea.

Adam Bukojemski, Ali Hill, both of whom made winning starts, and Koby Kalavannan vie with some of the world’s top 100 in the FIDE Open, Tomasso Penna tries his luck in the weekend open and Domenico Amabile, Steve Barry and Domenico Amabile are all playing in weekend grading limited tournaments.

Joe Skielnik has taken the week off to play in the weekday under-205o.
