Almost Pert-fect! Twins come out on top at our simultaneous simul night

England’s top twins – and probably the world’s – only conceded one loss and a handful of draws as they swept the boards on Tuesday

The two Perts, GM Nick and IM Richard, put in a doubly-impressive twin-powered performance at our Pert & Pert simultaneous simul night.

England’s top twins – and probably the world’s – only conceded one loss and a handful of draws as they swept the boards on Tuesday.

With the tables set out in three zig-zag lines, they played a total of 50 games – one each against each of the 25 competitors.

Viktor Stoyanov was the only one to score a win – against Richard – while CM Shreyas Royal, John Trevelyan and Emil Todorow managed draws.

We are waiting to confirm the other results, there may have been a couple more draws, but the rest were wins for the Perts.
