All hail Denis Dupuis! Battersea’s brilliant junior crowned a superb year at the weekend by winning the 2018 London Champion title.
England international Denis finished in joint first place in the London Junior Chess Championships Under 10 Major with 6/7.
Teo Saunders, another Battersea junior, had been right in contention too with 2.5/3 until he faced Denis in the fourth round.
Teo finished with 3/7 – a strong performance in one of his first tournaments representing Battersea.
