There was nothing to separate Chris Beckett and Ali Hill in the first round of our Beckett Hill exhibition match on Tuesday.

The two 200-odd titans battled it out for three gruelling hours before a draw was agreed after the 32nd move.

The game, see below, was tighter than my post-Christmas spending habits with Stockfish registering barely any advantage at any point.

Chris and Ali now have five games left in their World Championship-style match to find out who comes out on top.
