It’s that time of year again – the highlight of summer when the ECF grades are out.

This year Battersea can boast a batch of new grades for new players and whopping 13 names in the 200 club.

New entries include Stuart Robertson (up from 198 to 210) and Aldo Camilleri, who’s hit 209.

Viktor Stoyanov, who rose a stunning 13 points, is now on 219.

Adam C Taylor has hit 230 in the year he became an International Master. Chris Beckett has also hit a career-best of 206 while schoolboy prospect CM Shreyas Royal is knocking on the door with 195.

There were first standard grades for Tom Butterworth, James Humphries, Orlando Perri, Ahmed Fadili, Daniel Press, Carlton Bradbury, Tony Belton, Joshua Holliday and Nikas Zaleskis.

We hope all will be available to play in the coming 2019/20 season.

Of the juniors, Luca Buanne and Denis Dupuis went up 14 and 13 respectively. Both are now on 149. Viktor’s brother Boris Stoyanov is on 146. Teo Saunders went up 11 to 85.

As for the big risers, Julio Brau rocketed 15 from the January grades to 197 and Duncan Kerr was up 14 to 186.
