We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a FIDE- and ECF-rated Blitz Tournament on 7 November 2023
7 November is Aron Nimzowitsch’s 137th birthday. To celebrate, we are pleased to be hosting a special visitor from Latvia: Ivo Gubanovs, Founder and Manager of Riga Chess Club — Nimzowitsch’s home town.
This will be a FIDE and ECF-rated 3+2 Blitz competition, with one section, open to all. Arrival from 1900. Round 1 at 1930. 8 rounds. Finish and Prizes around 2145.
There will be prizes for First, Second, Third, Best Junior, Best Woman, and a Rating prize. You need to be at least ECF Bronze to enter.
Entry is £5 for Battersea Members and £10 for non-members.
